Polling stations nation wide, in conjunction with Russia, former Cold War enemy and newest election partner of the United States, will be offering the ubiquitous I Voted stickers in both the English and Russian languages this year, this according to voting officials.

The much loved symbol of democracy is earned after filling out a ballot in elections taking place within the United States, and are proudly displayed by actively voting citizens on anything from lapel to laptop.

Katie Parnel, a voting official in Dane County, Wisconsin, is enthusiastic about the new stickers, and had this to say, “A vote isn’t just for your favorite candidate, it’s for freedom itself. Why not say this in other languages and communicate to great countries like Russia just how important our democracy is. We encourage voters to take one or both.”
